By the way, 5G technology is not yet available in different countries of the world, but experts are working on the next generation mobile internet technology rapidly.
China has made significant progress in this regard and has introduced 3 important 6G technology standards through the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
It should be noted that China wants to be the first country to introduce 6G technology in the world. The standards introduced by it aim to improve the ITU’s 2030 framework scenario.
All three standards for 6G technology were approved on July 26 during the ITU’s Telecommunication Standardization Sector Study Group 13 meeting, the South China Morning Post reported.
Creating standards for each technology is critical because experts and companies gain an early competitive advantage through them.
Compared to America and Europe, more work is being done in East Asian countries regarding 6G technology.
These new standards focus on various aspects of 6G such as content transmission, data updates and system performance assessments.
Various system features have also been included in the standards, the report said. Earlier in July 2024, China’s telecom engineers installed the world’s first field test network, making major advances in 6G technology.
This experimental network of next generation wireless communication technology ensures 6G transmission on 4G infrastructure. It also demonstrated a 10-fold improvement in field network coverage, efficiency and other areas.
It was developed by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. This field network will allow scientists to research and test various aspects of 6G technology.
There aren’t many details about 6G technology yet, but experts say it will help move holographic communication from science fiction to reality.
The official standard for 6G is likely to be set next year and China is already doing a lot of work to introduce 6G on a commercial basis.
