It was a fairly violent accident which took place this Saturday January 6, 2024, late in the morning, on the E40 motorway in the direction of Liège towards Battice, a few hundred meters from the Barchon motorway exit. In circumstances that are still a little unclear, two cars, a blue BMW 1 series and a sporty Lotus Exige, collided.
An ambulance responded to the scene to take care of one of the drivers. He would be injured but his life is not in danger.
The damage is impressive, mainly to the Lotus, many pieces of debris were scattered all over the highway. This is why the two left lanes were cut off to traffic, time to allow the Liège firefighters to clean the road and repair the vehicles. This caused some traffic jams late Saturday morning.
