EXTENDS HIS CONTRACT FOR TWO MORE SEASONS

The red-and-white youth squad will continue defending the red-and-white jersey until June 30, 2026.

Sonia García Majarín and Atlético de Madrid have reached an agreement to renew the red and white jersey until June 30, 2026. In this way, our player extends her contract for two more seasons with our entity.

In this way, the red and white ‘5’ will continue linked to our club, the club of her life, which she joined when she was 11 years old. In the 2020/21 season he became part of the first team. In that campaign she would make her debut in an official match, nothing more and nothing less than in the Women’s Champions League, in the duel once morest Chelsea. After being loaned to Deportivo Alavés in the 2021/22 season, Majarín returned to the club in the summer of 2022. Last season, Maja played 19 games, most of them in the final stretch, being a key player in winning the Cup of the Queen. In her record as a red and white player she has two titles, the aforementioned Queen’s Cup in 2023 and the Spanish Super Cup achieved in 2021.

Furthermore, our player is indisputable with the lower categories of the Spanish National Team. In the summer of 2022 she was proclaimed U-20 World Champion. And during the last calls she has been one of the regulars in the Spanish U-23.
