Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications, through its District No. 8, carried out improvement tasks on several rural sections that benefit the connectivity of various communities in the department of Misiones.
This is part of the ongoing plan to improve dirt roads, which account for 85% of the national road network, thus contributing to the development and quality of life of local communities.
The work benefited several localities in the department and included patching, profiling of platforms, cleaning, channeling of riverbeds and placing pipes on unpaved roads.
In the community of 29 de Octubre, Santa María, District 8 officials carried out patching and platform profiling tasks. At the same time, in Itacurubí, also in Santa María, water channels were cleaned and channeled.
In the Panchito López – Yabebyry section, loading and patching work was carried out, as well as in the community of Galeano Kué in Yabebyry. In Ayolas, in addition to loading and patching tasks, pipes were placed.
Likewise, on the San Felipe – Yacarey – Santiago section, the districts of Santa Rosa and the National University of Misiones carried out maintenance work and additionally, in Cerro Perõ, district of San Juan Bautista, MOPC workers did patching and platform profiling.
Weather permitting, the work will continue this week at other strategic points, seeking to ensure connectivity for the rural population, the Ministry of Public Works reports.
