Maintenance of rural roads facilitates access to basic services for more than 7,000 residents of Paraguarí

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications, through the Directorate of Local Roads, carried out the maintenance of local roads that benefited more than 7,100 inhabitants of the districts of Acahay, Quyquyo, Quiindy and Paraguarí, in the department of Paraguarí.

The total number of activities improved traffic over a 20 km stretch, which is essential for these rural communities, as they not only facilitate daily traffic but also improve access to basic services such as health, education and supplies.

In Acahay, on the D062-Arroyo Verde – Costa Báez stretch, 3 km of road was patched and profiled, benefiting 1,000 people. Similarly, in Quyquyho, work was carried out on the Cerro Frente – Guazu Kora stretch, benefiting 600 residents.

Likewise, in the Quiindy district, some 500 residents who use the Ybycuí – Quiindy section benefited from the patching and profiling work on 4 km of road, while in Paraguarí, patching with asphalt mix was carried out on the section that connects with Carapeguá, which represents a significant improvement for some 5,000 residents who use this road daily, detailed the MOPC.
