Klaten Police have intensified dawn PATROLS in the context of preventing crime and community disease in the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah. Dawn patrol activities were held to protect areas prone to illegal racing, distribution of firecrackers, brawls and other crimes.
“Today, the Klaten Police carried out a dawn patrol led by Deputy Police Chief Commissioner Tri Wakhyuni,” said Head of Public Relations AK Abdillah, Sunday (17/3). This time the dawn patrol was on the Klaten Police Headquarters route, Krapyak Gas Station, Bendogatungan, SGM Prambanan, and around Kembar Temple or Plaosan Temple.
The Klaten Police are holding dawn patrols this fasting month with the aim of improving social security and order and reducing the potential for crime to occur. “During today’s dawn patrol, there were children’s activities that disturbed the community around Plaosan Temple and they were successfully arrested,” said Abdillah.
At dawn at Plaosan Temple, officers found several children playing with firecrackers using spirit cans. “Officers confiscated two canned spirit firecrackers. Then, the two underage children who were playing with the firecrackers received coaching,” he added.
So, continued Abdillah, dawn patrol activities are to monitor locations that are prone to illegal racing, distribution of firecrackers and other crimes/criminals. “By holding dawn patrols, it is hoped that it can increase public awareness to maintain security and order in the month of Ramadan,” he concluded.
