Mai Khalil: This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Beirut Marathon

The organization of the OMT Beirut Marathon 2024, set for Sunday, November 10, commemorates the 20th anniversary of this event’s launch in 2003. The Beirut Marathon Association is celebrating this milestone through various events accompanying this year’s race.

“This year, we will not only participate in the race, but we will also celebrate 20 years of love, unity, and passion on Sunday, November 10, 2024, when the streets of Beirut will be filled with thousands of runners from Lebanon and around the world, all moving in rhythm with one heartbeat,” stated the association’s president, Mrs. May Khalil.
“One Heart, One Race is the slogan of the event and serves as a powerful reminder that on this day we will be part of something greater; not just a race, but a celebration of the Lebanese community where individuals from all backgrounds, regions, and affiliations come together, transcending differences and finding common ground on the streets of Beirut,” she added.

Mrs. Khalil emphasized, “It does not matter the place, time, or individual. It is an opportunity for every runner to be part of this extraordinary event, the 20th edition of the OMT Beirut Marathon, which stands as the most vibrant and distinctive event to date. The association looks forward to giving runners the chance to experience this.”
