Al-Marsad newspaper: Kuwaiti journalist May Al-Aidan revealed that she won her case once morest her citizen, Kuwaiti journalist Abu Talal Al-Hamrani.
Al-Aidan said, in a blog post on her account on “Instagram”: “Thanks to God, then to the honest Kuwaiti judiciary, then thanks to the lawyer Dari Al-Wawan. My honor, my honor, and my reputation openly.”
She pointed out that her challenge to her honor through a sinful tweet – as she described it – tweeted on his Twitter account once morest her, following she was subjected less than a year ago to an incident of harassment by an Egyptian expatriate and followed her to her door, calling for the issuance of a law to deport any expatriate who harassed a citizen, similar to similar laws in Qatar and other countries.
And she continued: “The so-called Abu Talal Al-Hamrani wrote a tweet in which he fabricated rumors that are their only source and whose purpose is to harm my honor, my reputation and my honor.”
And she added, “Praise be to God, I resorted to the impartial Kuwaiti judiciary, and praise be to God, he did justice to me by ruling a fine of 500 dinars to the state and compensation of 500 others, and the appeal is underway and the claim is to open a civil lawsuit once morest him, and to raise the amount of compensation for the psychological and social damage he caused by the false tweet that he fabricated once morest me.”
