The young artist Mahmoud Yassin, nicknamed “Junior”, the grandson of the late Egyptian star Mahmoud Yassin, revealed his opinion on the phenomenon of a number of celebrities wearing the transparent shirt, as a new fashion that swept the Egyptian artistic community recently.
Yassin explained that when the audience loves a celebrity, he wants to see him in a state similar to him, and when the artist differs, the audience may be annoyed with him, pointing out that some artists deliberately wear striking clothes sometimes for the purpose of difference.
He indicated in televised statements that some artists resort to this, given their desire to create their own “style”, especially in concerts, indicating that he understands the annoyance of some of these behaviors.
And regarding his recent appearance with the star Amr Diab in a transparent shirt similar to the shirt of the plateau, he said that it was a coincidence, and he is of course happy with that.
Junior confirmed that the audience’s criticism of the different artists’ fashion was faced by his grandfather, the late great artist Mahmoud Yassin, in the seventies, saying: “My grandfather in the seventies was wearing fashionable clothes at the time, and the older generations of him were amazed at that, and therefore each period has its own fashion, which They usually have opponents.
He continued: «This is what happens now when I wear different clothes like the clothes of my generation and those of my age, so I find the older generations criticizing me for this reason, and I respect and accept the audience’s criticism, and when I feel that I said or wore something that the audience did not like, I do not repeat it once more».
It is noteworthy that Mahmoud Yassin participated in the series “Battalion 101” last Ramadan, which revolved around the “Battalion 101” of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and how it succeeded in confronting terrorist attacks in North Sinai Governorate.
