BUENOS AIRES (AP) — Guillermo Coria will no longer captain Argentina‘s Davis Cup team, the Argentine Tennis Association (AAT) announced Monday.

The departure of the ‘Mago’ team comes just days after the ‘albiceleste’ team were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the last eight in Malaga by the Italian team, who ended up being two-time champions of the tournament.

“Thank you, Mago,” AAT wrote on its official Top eight in the world.

According to local media reports, “the decision was mutually agreed upon” after a meeting between Coria and AAT president Agustín Calleri. The name of his successor is unclear.

Corea, 42, has a 5-6 record in 11 series.
