Magnitude 5.4 earthquake shakes northern Colombia, according to USGS

(CNN Español) — An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 shook northern Colombia this Wednesday, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The Geological Service of Colombia initially reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.6.

According to USGS, the earthquake occurred 22 kilometers southwest of Santa Rosa del Sur, in the department of Bolívar, in the north of the country.

The earthquake occurred at 07:49 local time.

There are no reports of damage or casualties so far.
