Magnesia: The Volos Prosecutor’s Office requests an urgent preliminary examination for the death of a tourist in Anavra

The death of a visitor in Anavra Almyros on Sunday, August 18, brought the reaction of the municipality of Almyros, for the non-operation of the rural clinic, with the Prosecutor’s Office of Volos requesting an urgent preliminary examination of the incident, to determine if there is a criminal possibility of exposure to danger and breach of duty.

According to information from the website, magnesianews.gr, the Prosecutor’s Office asked the competent Magistrate to examine all aspects of the tragic incident, in order to establish whether there is indeed an issue with the non-operation of the rural clinic in Anavra, with the municipality of Almyros in its announcement to argue that the doctor stationed there rarely appears, as he moves to the Almyros Health Center in order to provide his services there.

In this context, the relatives of the unfortunate elderly woman who ended up will be invited to present their positions, but the medical file of the elderly woman will also be examined. At the same time, the operating status of the rural clinic will be investigated, to see if there is any responsibility of the 5th Health Department or the Almyros Health Center.

The Prosecutor is the one who is called upon to undertake the collection of all the material, due to the criminal nature that may arise, however no one is suspected of responsibility at this time.
