The Navegantes del Magallanes defeated the Bravos de Margarita 12-1 at the Universitario stadium and left behind a streak of 18 consecutive defeats in the capital.
Margarita took the lead in the second inning thanks to a solo home run to right field by Wilson Ramos.
But Magallanes would not take long to equalize and turn the score around with six runs between innings, three, four and five. The first of the electrics came with a single by Carlos Rodríguez that drove in Rayder Ascanio.
Two more for Magallanes came in the fourth inning. Rayder Ascanio hit a double that brought René Pinto and Alberth Martínez to the plate.
In the fifth inning, René Pinto appeared with a home run with two teammates in circulation to make the game 6-1.

Magallanes finished opening the game with a very productive eighth inning. Two singles, three walks and as icing on the cake a grand slam by Renato Núñez made the game 12-1.
Nivaldo Rodríguez (1-0) was the winning pitcher following working five innings in which he allowed six hits and one run, striking out five opponents. The loser was Dylan Unsworth (1-2) by allowing six runs in 4.2 innings.
Magallanes wins once more in Caracas following 18 defeats, the Turkish team had not won in the capital since January 4, 2022.
With this victory Magallanes levels his record at 11-11, while for Bravos he stops his streak of victories at five and leaves his record at 10-11.
