This is an additional legal weight that falls on the already heavily loaded shoulders of the ex-popess of influencers. The Paris prosecutor’s office recently opened a preliminary investigation into Shauna Events and Sublim Talent, two agencies founded by Magali Berdah, according to information from the Obs which we are able to confirm. Recently placed in receivership, the two companies are now officially managed by the agent’s partner.

The opening of this file follows the complaint against . The two influencers denounce alleged acts of “fraud”, “violation of the ban on management”, “abuse of weakness”, “presentation of unfaithful accounts” and “judgment fraud” at the against the two companies.

To understand the underside of this affair, we have to go back to March 2019. As a couple, Emma Paris and Vlad Oltean each signed an exclusive contract with Sublim Talents and Shauna Events. When they initialed the documents, they did not suspect that a few days before, Magali Berdah had been sentenced by the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal to one year in prison, suspended for abuse of weakness against a vulnerable person, sentence accompanied by a five-year ban on management.

Judgment not executed

Despite this sentence, the agent of the reality TV stars puts her signature on one of the two documents, and will then be the main interlocutor of the duo of influencers during their collaboration, affirm the latter. But their professional relationship crumbles and disagreements arise. Emma Paris and Vlad Oltean particularly criticize the former “queen of influencers” for not having paid them, despite promises of significant profits. Strong criticism shared by several of his former protégés.

In January 2023, the Paris court ruled: the entrepreneur’s companies were ordered to pay nearly 2 million euros for “unfair breach of contract” and “non-payment of invoices issued”. Except that Sublime Talents and Shauna Events are appealing the decision of the commercial court. A legal parade which does not allow them to escape their conviction, which remains enforceable. The lawyers of the two influencers then increased attempts to enforce the judgment. Maneuvers remained, for the moment, in vain.

For this reason, the lawyers of Emma Paris and Vlad Oltean filed a complaint, accusing the two agencies of hiding their obligations behind an insolvency which they describe as fraudulent and misleading. According to bailiff’s findings carried out at the request of lawyers, Shauna Events no longer holds bank accounts in France, while the only recorded account of Sublim Talents is empty. The lawyer for the two companies disputes: “These companies each have a bank account opened in France,” he reacts to the Obs.

The lawyers of the two influencers also criticize the two agencies for using their recent placement in receivership to avoid paying their sentence. When the latter was decreed, the procedure between Shauna Events and Sublim Talents and the two influencers was effectively interrupted. In response, the two companies highlight the debts contracted – more than 2 million euros, according to Obs – which they consider to be the result of a commercial denigration campaign initiated by the rapper Booba.

Last October, the 46-year-old singer was indicted for harassment against the agent. As we revealed this Tuesday, Booba was also singled out for speaking directly to Magali Berdah on social networks, even though he was prohibited from contacting her.

Magali Berdah, long perceived as the popess of influencers, has had a series of difficulties in recent years. Since the end of September 2022, his company Shauna Events has also been under investigation for deceptive commercial practices after the outbreak of a controversy surrounding the questionable partnerships of its internet stars.
