MAG delivers implements and contributions for agricultural growth in San Pedro

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) delivered agricultural implements worth G. 659,583,000; as well as certificates of award for dual-purpose poultry production and pork production; in addition to contributions of G. 40,000,000, destined for the growth of producers in the department of San Pedro.

It was during the work day presided over by the head of the MAG, Carlos Giménez, in the community of Juruhei, city of General Elizardo Aquino.

The head of MAG said that the provision of technology and work tools, when used correctly, will yield excellent results and that the goal is to cultivate more hectares and have greater production.

Giménez confirmed that through the School Feeding Program we have a large market where everything produced in the fields can be purchased for lunches in all the schools in the country.

On the other hand, the head of the MAG stressed that government institutions are fighting against smuggling so that Paraguayan producers have a secure market.

He also stressed that the Paraguayan government supports field work in the entire productive sector and that the MAG System works to achieve the comprehensive development of rural families. On this occasion, he also introduced the producers to all the MAG technicians who are available to assist them in whatever is necessary.

The Minister of Agriculture stressed that reaching out to and supporting producers is the job entrusted to him by the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña.

For his part, the municipal mayor of General Aquino, Alberto Greco, thanked the contributions that motivate them to continue working; while the deputy Jorge Barresi, thanked the presence of the government in the department and the deputy Carmen Giménez, highlighted that the joint work is for the development of the countryside, as well as the trust of the government in the people of San Pedro.
