The national president confirmed that on September 26 the borders with Colombia will open and he hopes “some day” to resume good relations with the United States.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message this Friday mainly to the countries of the European Union and also to the United States, indicating that he has the “gas and oil” they need for the energy crisis they are suffering and more so now that winter is coming.
In a speech made from the headquarters of the Petrocedeño Industrial Complex in Anzoátegui, he put energy resources in order for the countries that need it. They also indicated that PDVSA completely assumed the operation of the facility.
“To order our gas and oil to help the world,” he launched in the middle of his speech in front of company workers.
He warned that there is a crisis in Europe, without mentioning that it is due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions imposed as punishment, and now that “winter is coming.”
“Venezuela ready and prepared to export our products to the markets that are needed,” added the first national president. From his point of view, the country “acquires more and more importance in the world’s energy and economic equation.”

Aspire to improve relationships
He took advantage of the occasion to ratify that on September 26 the borders with Colombia will be opened, especially for cargo transport, since pedestrian transport was already allowed.
In addition, that same day the flights will be reactivated, as he pointed out. He applauded the fact of resuming relations with Colombia, following the election of Gustavo Petro.
He hopes that the economic exchange between the two nations will reach some two billion dollars in 2022.

Given this, he revealed that he would like to do the same with the United States.
“How nice it would be to have a respectful relationship with the United States government one day,” said the head of state.
“The economic time that is regarding to arrive in Venezuela is very auspicious, we will be the economic miracle of Latin America and the Caribbean,” he added.
