Nicolás Maduro, President of the Republic, showed his support for the creation of a single currency in Latin America that will be discussed at the summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), which begins this Tuesday in Argentina.
“Venezuela is ready and we support the initiative to create a Latin American and Caribbean currency. Independence, union and liberation of Latin America and the Caribbean! ”, The president exclaimed this Monday in the middle of his speech for the march on January 23 that promoted the ruling party to request an end to the sanctions.
The initiative comes from the heads of state of Argentina (Alberto Fernández) and Brazil (Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva) and it will be discussed this week at the meetings that will take place in Buenos Aires.

Maduro also pointed out that the “Venezuelan people dismantled the spiral of violence that tried to activate the right again on social networks.”
He stressed that the people are mobilized by millions and this was reflected in this “tremendous demonstration of popular force that has taken place in the streets of Venezuela.”
He congratulated the conscious and patriotic people, referring to the deployment in the country’s states and in the Venezuelan capital, while applauding that peace reigns in Venezuela because “history belongs to us, victory belongs to us.”
The national dignitary joined the march this afternoon at Plaza O’Leary and walked to Miraflores.
“I come from the town. I am here only for you, the strength of the people, the popular power”, today “we walk, we hug, we kiss, we dance for renewed hope”, said the President.
“Today the people have marched for a just cause and I call on them to remain permanently mobilized against criminal sanctions, against the criminal blockade. Now we are going for the sanctions, for the blockade, we have only one destination: The people in the streets conquering the victory against the blockade ”, he insisted.
He also told the workers that he is designing a plan that will allow an improvement in purchasing power.
