Maduro speaks out about “El Puma” Jose Luis Rodriguez

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that the singers José Luis “El Puma” Rodríguez and Rubén Blades “are enemies of Venezuela.”

“José Luis Rodríguez ordered my death once, then he returned to Venezuela and asked for a meeting with me at the 33rd level, we met at La Viñeta, when he arrived he hugged me, he cried, I did not cry (…) we talked with him for more than an hour,” said Maduro, during a meeting with the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

He said that during that conversation the Venezuelan singer wanted to “apologize” to him.

“He asked me and justified a request for forgiveness, and I told him ‘I have nothing to forgive you for, God is there,'” Maduro said.

On Sunday, a phone call was leaked in which “El Puma” admitted that he made “mistakes in the past” regarding his point of view on Maduro’s government, because he acted in response to pressure generated by the extreme right, reported Venezuela News.
