This Wednesday, August 7th, Nicolas Madurowithin the framework of the start of a vacation plan in the state of Miranda, reported that the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) suggested uninstalling the WhatsApp application in Venezuelaa proposal that he rejected.
“Conatel sent me a legal document where it proposed to me, as head of State, that I press a button that we have in the country and uninstall WhatsApp for the entire country, as they have done in other countries around the world; I said no“, he highlighted during his speech at the Vinicio Adames Recreational Park.
He also recalled that even during the pandemic in the country, “No one was forced to take care of themselves” of covid-19.
“Everyone take care of yourselves, I said during the pandemic, voluntary quarantine, in other countries it was mandatory, and everyone kept the quarantine if they wanted.“he recalled, after also specifying that he believed in “the conscience and the will of the people.”
“People took care of themselves (from Covid), we took care of them, and Venezuela has the best rates of treatment of the coronavirus pandemic in the world“, he said.
He reiterated that this is the same model that they want to apply to social networks in the country, “That is the conscience and the will of the one who truly wants to free himself from that kind of garbage and poison, I freed myself«.
He re-emphasized that through the WhatsApp application, “hate messages that can lead to destruction”.
