Maduro ridiculed the celebration of Venezuela’s Independence Day: the dictator was absent and instead paraded a “Super Mustache” doll

In any part of the world, military parades are usually a protocol event, serious and organized with the utmost care to send a clear message: this is the military force that the nation has to protect the country.

They are usually characterized by the presence of the entire military high command, as well as the executive train of the government headed by the president of the republic.

However, this July 5, Venezuela’s Independence Day, the customary military parade, which it has progressively faded more and more with the incorporation of poorly trained militiamen and beneficiaries of the social plans granted by the Chavista dictatorshiphad as an additional ingredient the absence of the dictator Nicolás Maduro.

In his replacement, the tyrant of Caracas sent a “Super Mustache” doll, the character with which he is represented in a cartoon series as a hero of the country in charge of solving existing problems.

Maduro’s message during the event was broadcast on a giant screen while his doll passed in front of the presidential gallery

For the deputy of the Venezuelan opposition Parliament, Julio Borges, the absence of Maduro during the event on Tuesday “It denotes his contempt for the military institution, and also his fear, because he knows that he only controls the rotten leadership of the FANB (Bolivarian National Armed Force)”.

While the customary event was taking place on the Paseo de Los Próceres, in Caracas, Maduro sent a message from the Miraflores Palace that was broadcast while the soldiers made their usual tour.

“Being free is not a job for cowards or lazy people. A tireless spirit is needed, dedicated to the work of cultivating consciousness and facing the enemy forces at all times, ”he expressed.

Also the two-time former presidential candidate, Henrique Capriles Radonski, questioned the absence of Maduro at the event.

“Maduro does not attend the #5Jul to Los Próceres, and ridicules such an important parade for the Armed Forces, with an inflatable doll that only honors the chaos that it represents. Our Venezuela and the most important national date deserve respect and something better than this, ”said Capriles through a message from his Twitter account.

The reasons why the Venezuelan dictator was absent from the military parade are still unknown. Ripe has reduced its participation in public events since the alleged attack suffered in 2018 before a group of followers on Avenida Bolívar in Caracas.

Although the event on Tuesday went smoothly, it was expected that there would be rain in the Venezuelan capital that might affect the attendees.
