Maduro reacts to the attack against Donald Trump

On Saturday, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro spoke out regarding the attack on former US President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

At a political rally in Guacara, Carabobo state, Maduro said: “I want, on behalf of all of Venezuela, to repudiate the attack once morest former President Donald Trump, wish him a speedy recovery and may God bless the people of the United States and give them peace and tranquility.”

The Venezuelan president recalled: “We have been adversaries, but I wish Trump good health and a long life and I condemn this attack.”

He also highlighted having been the victim of an attack in the country, “and of 100 attempts to attack me, but God always put his hands on me and here we are, healthy, alive and victorious to face the future.”

Trump was injured following being shot at a rally

Donald Trump was evacuated from a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, following being shot several times and wounded in the ear.

Trump had been in prison for only 10 minutes when he was taken out with traces of blood on his right ear, according to what EFE was able to confirm from the scene.

Authorities have confirmed that the site has been declared a “crime scene” and an ambulance assisted in the evacuation, EFE reported.
