Maduro lashed out at WhatsApp and accused it of giving a database to María Corina…

Venezuelan regime leader Nicolás Maduro once again referred to WhatsApp as an enemy of his country.

Last Tuesday, in a public event in the evening, the dictator said that the application provided a database to opposition leader María Corina Machado, which allowed her to organize the so-called “comanditos”, citizen organizations that were formed during the electoral campaign.

True to form, Maduro lashed out with insults towards Machado and Edmundo González:

“WhatsApp handed over to Venezuelan terrorists, to that devil Machado, terrorist and murderer, fugitive from justice, and to the war criminal, Edmundo González Urrutia, and his commandos handed over the entire database of Venezuela, who you are, your family, your friends, what you talk about, what you don’t talk about, what videos you share, what your tastes are, etc.”Maduro declared.

This is part of the regime leader’s attack on social media.

Days earlier, he accused the Chinese social network TikTok of allegedly promoting a civil war in Venezuela, following the protests that took place on July 29, in rejection of electoral fraud, the official result of which gave victory to the Chavista leader, without details of the bulletin or publication of the minutes.

“Look how immoral TikTok is. I accuse the directors and owners of TikTok worldwide of wanting civil war in Venezuela, of supporting fascism in Latin America and in the world,” he said during a meeting with heads of state institutions.

“I want to tell the bandits and immoral people on TikTok that the acts of violence come from you, all those videos are from TikTok”he continued.

Last Thursday, Maduro announced the suspension of the social network X (formerly Twitter) in Venezuela for 10 days, after accusing its owner, Elon Musk, of inciting hatred and fascism in the midst of an “attack” against his reelection.

“I have signed a resolution on the proposal made with Conatel to remove the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, from circulation in Venezuela for 10 days,” Maduro said.

“Elon Musk has violated all the rules of the social network Twitter itself. By inciting hatred, fascism, civil war, death and confrontation among Venezuelans, he has violated all the laws of Venezuela. There is law here and we will enforce the law,” he continued.
