Maduro denounces attack on submarine cable in Margarita

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Wednesday that they tried to cut the submarine cable to leave Margarita Island without electricity.

“They tried to cut the submarine cable that goes to Margarita, to leave the island without electricity (…) This is done by the same people who want to generate an electrical war to generate violence,” said Maduro during a ceremony to promote generals and admirals.

He said he saw evidence of this attack, which he believes was carried out “because of the names, with the intention of disturbing the peace in the country.”

“Venezuela will not fall into violence,” Maduro said.
