Maduro asked the police to “defeat” the alleged opposition conspiracies

Nicolás Maduro asked this Tuesday to “defeat” the alleged conspiracies of the majority sector of the oppositionwhich he accuses of sabotage and coup plans, ahead of the July 28 elections.

«Do you swear to comply with and enforce the Constitution, the laws of the Republic, with the supreme and inherent responsibility, as officials at the service of the people, to defend, protect, serve our people, and defeat the conspiracies of the evil empire and the oligarchy? of surnames“,” Maduro expressed during the graduation and promotion ceremony for police officers.

The Maduro administration usually refers to the main leaders of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) as “last names,” whom Maduro again accused of having plans to “seek a tragedy” and “a hecatomb” in the country due to “his desperation.” because, according to the ruler, «“they are lost” in the upcoming elections, despite the fact that traditional polls consider the anti-Chavista coalition the winner by a wide margin.

«They will never be able to defeat us, they have not been able to and will not be able to defeat us, neither by hook nor by crook, they will not be able to defeat us (…) We cannot allow it, in Venezuela there must be peace before, during and after July 28 », expressed Maduro, who warned the police that, if they do not comply with the oath, “They will be punished by law.”

This oath, he continued, “It has to be a commitment” of “give all the best effort for peace, “safety and protection” of the town.

On the other hand, he asserted that the “baton of command” of the PNB “is in good hands“and” it will continue to be in safe hands” and – he added – it will not be held by “any vendetta” or “any puppet of oligarchs.”
