President Nicolas Maduro approved this Thursday that the minimum wage be half a petroas well as salarizing the bonuses that public sector workers receive through the Homeland System.
“We are going to pay the bonuses, if you want the minimum wage to exceed half a petro, approved”he said during the II Congress of the Working Class “José Chino Khan”.
He also indicated that there is a proposal to place the basket ticket at 45 bolivars: “I think it’s fine to start with”.
Notably This salary increase decision also reaches pensioners and retirees in the country.
He said that new collective contracts adapted to the needs of Venezuelan workers will be carried out, since they seek to recover the salary and all the salary tables.
“We are going to recover salaries, of all salary tables controlling inflation, the exchange rate, not to be triggered, managing things and the time has come”he highlighted.
He argued that with national production they will continue to advance, so “Sooner rather than later we will have the salary of a petro”.
According the website of the Bank of Venezuelathis Thursday the petro was quoted at Bs. 252.64, which means that the minimum wage would be Bs. 126.32.

Maduro asked the Oil Minister, Tareck El Aissami, that in 72 hours give him proposals to found the Banco de los Trabajadores Digital.
In this sense, El Aissami announced that there is a proposal to go to the protection of the funds of workers and pensioners through the accumulation of contributions and payments in cryptocurrencies.
