World number one, Novak Djokovic, started his career in the Madrid Open by defeating French Gael Monfils in two sets without a response, today, Tuesday.
Djokovic won the match in one hour and 28 minutes, 6-3 and 6-2, and he will meet in the round of 16 with Canadian Denis Shapovalov or Britain’s Andy Murray.
This is the 18th match between Djokovic and Monfils, the Serbian won in all of them.
