During the week, the Madrid Lima 2023 Forum took place, organized by the far-right conservative group in Spain, Vox. The event was attended by Peruvian congressmen, authorities and ex-authorities of his political line.
During their interventions, however, congressmen mocked those who opposed the measures that affect the university reform or the election of the new Constitutional Court. The former magistrate of the TC, Ernesto Blume, called Marianella Ledesma “poisonous” while María del Carmen Alva said that “everyone should be grateful to Congress” and that now they are going yes or yes for the election of the new Ombudsman. The mayor of Lima, Rafel López Aliaga, cheered the group hoping that Peru will have a greater participation with them.
