Madrid. A Moroccan elected vice-president of the Socialist International

The USFPist Khaoula Lachgar was unanimously elected, Saturday in Madrid, vice-president of the Socialist International (IS).

This election took place during the 26th congress of the Socialist International, which is being held from 25 to 27 November in the Spanish capital. ”This election allows the USFP to defend the supreme interests of Morocco and all African countries within the IS,” said Khaoula Lachgar.

A delegation from the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), led by its first secretary, Driss Lachguar, is taking part in the work of the 26th congress of the Socialist International, which opened on Friday. This conclave, which will be closed on Sunday, looks at several international issues, including conflict resolution, energy policy, climate change and employment.
