Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The American singer, Madonna, will take a break for a while to recover following suffering from a health problem, which means that she will postpone some dates within her “Celebration” world tour, which was scheduled to start next month.

In a post he shared on his official Instagram account, Madonna’s manager, Jay Oseary, wrote that the 64-year-old icon “has developed a serious bacterial infection that led to her being in the intensive care unit for several days” on Saturday.

“Her health is improving, but she is still under medical care and is expected to make a full recovery,” Osiri said.

“We need to stop all commitments at this time, including the tour,” Oseary added, noting that they “will share more details as soon as they have them, including a new tour start date and rescheduled shows.”

A source close to the singer told CNN on Wednesday that she is “out of the intensive care unit and recovering.”

Madonna’s next tour, “Celebration”, was scheduled to start on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada, followed by two concerts in Seattle, USA, starting on July 18.

The plan was to continue the tour throughout the US and Canada until early October, before heading to Europe.
