Madonna: The “queen of pop” never goes out of fashion

The pop star, who is close friends with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and has been an ambassador for the brand since the early 1990s, attended Saturday’s fashion show, monopolizing interest.

The 66-year-old ‘queen’ of the music industry arrived at the spring/summer 2025 show covered from head to knees in a lacy black veil, which she took off in a chiffon maxi lace slip dress with a high slit.

She added a corset, while a stunning crown adorned her head. In fact, the glam braces that adorned her dentures also caused a sensation. Her appearance was no accident, since the show entitled “Italian Beauty” was a tribute to the wardrobe of her tour (“Blonde Ambition”) in 1990. Each model wore the conical bustier worn by Madonna at the time, while blonde wigs recalled style he had at the time and recorded the documentary “In Bed with Madonna”.

It was not the first time that Dolce & Gabbana dedicated a collection to Madonna. In 2000 they presented their Spring/Summer 2001 collection entitled ‘Madonna, Gli Anni Ottanta’ (‘Madonna, the 80s’), preceded by the costumes they designed for ‘The Girlie Show’ tour in 1992 “Madonna has always been our idol. Thanks to her, many things changed in our lives,” the designers wrote in the show notes.
