Madinaty Golf Club – one of the clubs of the Talaat Moustafa Group – achieved a great achievement and continued to win prestigious international awards following the World Golf Awards decided to award it as the best golf course in Africa for the year 2023, outperforming more than 900 courses within the African continent, in addition to awarding it an award. The best golf course in Egypt for the third year in a row.
The World Golf Awards organization is one of the largest bodies concerned with evaluating golf courses in the world and held its annual ceremony in Abu Dhabi this year in the presence of an elite group of golf stars and icons around the world, while Youssef Qadri, Head of the Commercial Sector at Talaat Mustafa Group Clubs, was presented with the two Best Club Awards. Golf in Egypt and Africa as a representative of the group.
Omar Hisham Talaat, CEO of Business Development at Talaat Mostafa Group, expressed his happiness that Madinaty Golf Course won the award for the best golf course in Egypt for the third year in a row, and for the first time it won the award for the best golf course on the African continent, adding that this great achievement comes as a culmination of the group’s efforts. Talaat Mustafa aims to establish sports clubs in its urban projects that provide various facilities, infrastructure and stadiums that have been implemented in accordance with the latest international standards to match international clubs.
Omar Hisham pointed out that the Madinaty golf course was designed at the highest level by Robert Trent Jones Jr., who is considered one of the most famous specialists in designing golf courses around the world, and is managed by the international company Troon, which is one of the best companies specialized in managing golf courses. And the maintenance of golf courses around the world, stressing that winning the awards for the best golf course in Egypt and Africa strengthens the position of Madinaty Golf Club as a global destination for golf and contributes to attracting sports tourism to Egypt by hosting international tournaments with the participation of the best golfers in the world.
Youssef Qadri, head of the commercial sector at Talaat Mostafa Group clubs, confirmed that Madinaty Golf Club’s victory in the award for the best golf course in Egypt and Africa came following its great success in hosting many international tournaments during the recent period, the most prominent of which was the Asian Tour Series championship for golf professionals, “The Asian Tour.” It is one of the largest international golf tournaments, in addition to the Middle East and North Africa Golf Championship “MENA Tour”, which was held with the participation of 120 players from 35 different countries, under the sponsorship of the Arab and Egyptian Golf Federations. Qadri thanked Troon International Company for its great efforts in managing and maintaining golf courses in my city.
