Bhopal: Lokayukta Special Police Establishment (SPE) officers are shocked to see the property acquired by the officer following seven years of government service. Thirty-six-year-old Hema Meena, who is a structural in-charge assistant engineer in the Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation and earns a salary of Rs 30,000, has accumulated assets in a short period of time.
The officials who came on the pretext of repairing the solar panel found assets worth crores from Hema Meena.
20 vehicles including seven luxury cars, goods worth 232 cents, 24 cows belonging to the expensive Gir breed, a 98-inch TV worth 30 lakhs, a hundred dogs, wireless communication system, mobile jammers and a house worth 1 crore have been found so far. The inspection was conducted at three places including Hema’s bungalow on Thursday.
20,000 square feet of agricultural land has been registered in his father’s name. They also have properties in Raisan and Vidisha districts. Materials for constructing Police Housing Corporation buildings were also found from Hema Meena’s possession. Machines including harvester were also seized.
Lokayukta SP Manu Vyas said that a case has been registered in the name of Hema Meena and the value of the seized items will be determined with the help of other departments. He also said that checks on Hema’s properties will continue.
