BRAUNAU. Rebecca Wurzer, better known as a rapper as Beccy-K, is giving the local rap scene a stage with her new music project “Made in Austria Hip-Hop Sampler”. The Braunau native is also featured on the album herself, with her single “Ferrarirot”.
Beccy-K, the driving force behind the “Made in Austria Hip-Hop Sampler”, and her team have set themselves the goal of creating a stage for up-and-coming local artists and introducing them to a broad audience. 30 acts from all parts of the country are represented. “This is the biggest project of its kind,” says the rapper, who now lives in Germany and is pursuing her music career from there.
Musicians had until December 20th to apply for the sampler with their songs. “The interest was gigantic. “The album will not only be a homage to Austrian hip-hop, but also an impressive testimony to the country’s cultural diversity,” says Karlsruhe rapper and platform operator G. Capella, with Beccy-K. launched the project. There will also be a separate Linz playlist for talented rappers from Upper Austria.

On January 26th, the sampler with rousing beats will be released on the popular streaming and download portals (Spotify, Amazon MP3, iTunes and others). The joint single “Ferrarirot” by Beccy-K and G. Capella can also be found on it. “This track is a club-friendly number that really gets you going. “It’s full of cheeky rhymes and a catchy hook that makes you want to rap along,” says Rebecca Wurzer.
A lot is also planned live, as the musician explains: “There are several concerts on the program in spring and summer. I’m particularly looking forward to working with some Bundesliga clubs who have offered us the opportunity to present the sampler’s title song before their home games.”
