As if it were the movie “What happened yesterday?”, Maddie McGivern went out with her friends to a bar and, when she returned home, she found an unfortunate surprise: her bank account said that she had a debt of almost 50 thousand millions of dollars.
The story of McGivern went viral thanks to one of his friends uploaded a video to TikTok in which the young woman showed the debt on her cell phonewith obvious concern, and wondered “What should I do?”.

On the screen you might also see that his account only had a little more than 76 dollars and that he had spent only $681 in that week.
The publication was uploaded on June 19 and, at the moment, it accumulates more than 10 million views and almost two million likes.

After his situation went viral, McGivern uploaded another video to your account TikTok explaining that she is not sure why she decided to check her bank account at two o’clock.
“I wish I might say I bought the city of Los Angeles, but that’s not what happened”said the young woman wryly.
McGivern He said that some time later he called the bank Chase to solve the problem, but the person who attended told her that he had not seen anything like this before.
“They also told me that my account would get the 50 billion dollars until the year 2099 (…) I do not know if I will be alive at that point”he mentioned.
The young woman stated that she would go to the bank the next day to clarify the matter.
After going to the entity, McGivern told that it was a bank mistake. She even happened to other people: many, surely, experienced the same scare as the young woman when they saw the multiple ‘red zeros’ in your accounts.

After the scandal, the bank explained that it was a technical failurebut managed to fix it in time. McGivern and all customers returned to their original balance. No one has an outrageous debt to settle anymore.
“We had a glitch over the weekend that affected a limited number of accounts. The issue has been resolved and those accounts now show accurate balances.”A Chase spokesman told local outlet The Sun.
