French President Emmanuel Macron proposed to US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold a US-Russian summit on the Ukraine crisis, both of which were accepted.
According to AFP and Archyde.com, the French presidential palace said in a statement on the same day that “President Biden and President Putin have reached an agreement in principle to hold a summit related to the Ukraine crisis.”
“The US-Russian summit will only take place if Russia does not invade Ukraine,” France said in a statement. .
Macron had two emergency phone calls with Putin the day before and also talked with President Biden to discuss solutions to the Ukraine crisis.
