Let’s look at more news found in the latest betas of the operating systems. Apple? This time, more specifically, in the iOS/iPadOS 18.1 and no macOS Sequoia 15.1.

We will talk about news related to Low Power Mode on Macs, to the application Apple TV and an option involving the Active Noise Cancelling nos AirPods.

Shortcut to Low Power Mode on macOS

Another change related to Low Power Mode is that the battery icon will now be yellow when the option is activated, similar to what already happens in iOS and iPadOS — systems in which it is already possible to activate the mode quickly, with a tap in the Control Center.

More organization in the Apple TV app

Currently, the “Up Next” section in the Apple TV app compiles both titles that the user has started watching (but not yet finished) and those that have simply been saved to watch later — which can make things a little messy.

Also according to the 9to5Macin future versions of the systems the section was renamed to “Keep watching” and a new section was added, called “Watchlist”which will be responsible for displaying only the items saved by the user to watch in the future.

According to the website, however, the change does not appear to be fully implemented, as the “Continue Watching” section, which theoretically should only house items that have already started playing, still contains items saved by users.

It will be possible to hide the option to disable Active Noise Cancellation

According to the iDownloadBlog.comApple will add a new option in the AirPods settings that will allow you to disable the option to disable Active Noise Cancellation in the headphone controls and in the volume adjustment present in the Control Center.

Apple will even encourage users to keep the option disabled, highlighting that when Active Noise Cancellation mode is turned off, the user’s hearing is not protected — which makes sense, since the technology cancels out the noise that is reproduced around it.

Still only available in beta for developers, the final version of iOS/iPadOS 18.1, macOS 15.1 and other systems is expected to be released in October.
