Currently in beta, the macOS Ventura 13.5 will solve a problem that affects the iPods shuffle third and fourth generations — yes, you read that right. According to Applethe fix resolves a bug that prevents devices from syncing correctly.

Although Apple discontinued the iPod shuffle in 2017, the company has shown dedication in providing a solution to this particular problem — even if it’s an old device.

Solved Problems

Fixed an issue where iPod shuffle (3rd and 4th generation) might not be synced due to an unknown error (-244).

The iPod shuffle, known for its compact size and lack of a screen, was released in 2005 as an affordable music player, with prices starting at $100 for the version with 512MB of storage; a 1GB model was also available for $150.

Although no longer on the shelves, the device’s importance to the company’s history is undeniable, which has a history of offering long-term support for its products, including the iPod shuffle.
