Macabre discovery of a corpse wrapped in a mattress, on a road between Copacabana and Bello

On the followingnoon of this Sunday, December 25, on the North highway, between the municipalities of Bello and Copacabana, north of the Aburrá Valley, The police reported the discovery of a lifeless body. who was transferred to Legal Medicine.

The victim, who was wrapped in a mattress, was found by a passerby, who, noticing a strong odor, reported the incident to the authorities.

According to what was reported by José Rafael Miranda, deputy commander of the Valle de Aburrá Metropolitan Police, police patrols arrived in the area and “The respective investigations are being carried out to clarify this situation.”

He also confirmed that the victim has not been identified and the cause of death is unknown. It is expected that in the next few hours, the Police will deliver more information regarding this crime.

This fact is added to the two homicides that occurred on the night of December 24, one in Caldas and the other in Medellín, in the La América neighborhood, where a 69-year-old man died following a family dispute.

According to the deputy commander of the Valle de Aburrá Metropolitan Police, 1,100 uniformed officers were distributed in the Aburrá Valley to guarantee the safety of citizens.
