Macabre discovered in a wooded area in southern Indiana as a mushroom hunter found the remains of a young boy. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the child who may be 5 to 8 years old.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Carey Huls said the boy’s body was found off a highway in Washington County, CBS reports.
The toddler’s death might date back to last week. His identity remains unknown.
He is a 1.22 m (4 ft) black-skinned boy with short hair.
Sergeant Huls, however, would not provide further details surrounding the child’s death. Neither how it would have happened nor what clothes the boy was wearing.
The police officer asks the public to send him any information that might be linked to the child or his death: his identity, the names of his parents or guardians, relatives, etc.
“There are family members, friends, maybe someone from his school who knows there may have been problems, who thinks it might be this child,” supports Carey Huls.
