The Football Academy of the Panachai Gymnastics Union announces the start of its collaboration with the specialized sports scientist Makis Paraskevopoulos.
For the next three years, Mr. Paraskevopoulos will be in charge of evaluation and training planning of the Academy.
More specifically, there will be a daily monitoring of the total burden received by football players of developmental ages, during their training.
This monitoring will be done with the most modern equipment (GPS, cameras, questionnaires and physical ability assessment machines).
This whole process will form part of a research program and the data collected will be analyzed through artificial intelligence (AI) to examine the impact of the burden young footballers receive on their development and performance, as well as the possible association of burden and injuries.
Biography of M. Paraskevopoulos:
• PhD (c) PhD candidate of the School of Medicine of Patras, on the subject: Ergospirometry and assessment of cardiorespiratory function in children.
• PhD (c) Doctoral candidate SEFAA/DPTH, on the topic: Effect of training load on the performance of football players of developmental ages.
• MsC SEFAA/DPTH Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and Coaching.
• Fitness Specialist, School of Fitness Coaches, UEFA/HFF.
