For a long time, her favorite film might have been “The Color of Money”, even if she always preferred the hammer throw to billiards! For a decade, just following being the first Swiss woman to exceed 60 meters, Lydia Wehrli (33) had to submit to the overwhelming domination of Nicole Zihlmann, twelve times national champion in the discipline. And then, with the retirement of its great Lucerne rival, in 2021, its gold came. Already titled last summer in Zurich, the Stade Genève pitcher (also licensed in Aix-les-Bains) did it once more on Saturday in Bellinzona by seven meters ahead (57 m once morest 50 m) Iris Nowack, her fifteen-year-old junior.
