Lydec deficit in the first semester

Lydec’s turnover at the end of June 2022 amounted to 3,610 Mdhs, an improvement of 4.5% compared to 2021, mainly explained by the works turnover which increased by 24.4% compared to the same period of 2021.

In detail, electricity turnover in the 1st half of the year amounted to 2,251 Mdhs, up 1.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, while the turnover of drinking water for the 1st half of 2022 reached 659 Mdhs, down 2.1% compared to the 1st half of 2021.

EBITDA stands at 452 Mdhs, almost stable vs. 2021 (+0.1%).

Current operating income stands at 52 Mdhs, down 21 Mdhs compared to 2021, including allocations to provisions up by 12 Mdhs and depreciation charges which increase by 9 Mdhs.

The net result amounts to -10 Mdhs, down by 18 Mdhs compared to 2021.

Delegated Management investments for the 1st half of 2022 amount to 379 Mdhs, up 32.9% compared to the first half of 2021.

The level of net debt at the end of June 2022 reached 1,045 Mdhs, down 30% compared to last year which was impacted by the effects of the health crisis on customer collections.

These results are published when Veolia wishes to withdraw Lydec from the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
