The regional state administration stated that carriers operating on the Zolochiv direction did not show a desire to service this route.

This was reported by the press service of Glynyansk city community of Lviv district.

In July of this year, the Glynyansk City Council, due to numerous appeals from the residents of the community, sent a letter to the Lviv OVA with a request to restore bus route No. 431 connecting Glynyansk – Zolochiv.

Instead, the road management department of the Lviv regional government responded that this route is not planned to be restored due to a number of reasons and that they are currently working on optimizing the bus network of the region.

“To participate in the competition for the transportation of passengers on the bus route No. 431 Glynyany – Zolochiv via Slovita, which was held in September 2023, no carrier submitted their competitive proposals. The issue of temporary maintenance of route No. 431 was discussed repeatedly at meetings with the participation of regional carriers carrier, however, the carriers operating in the Zolochiv direction did not show a desire to serve the route.

After the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, the number of passengers decreased, the cases of non-fulfillment of flights by carriers, as well as carriers’ refusal to fulfill contractual obligations to service public bus routes became more frequent. Therefore, in order to preserve transport connections between populated areas, the department’s employees, together with regional carriers, are working on optimizing the bus network, taking into account the needs of passengers, passenger flows and the economic attractiveness of routes,” the department of road management of Lviv Oblast emphasized.
