Linz – After a few weeks of successful trial operation, the time had finally come on Saturday, March 11th, 2023: the “LunzerWirt” in the SK VÖEST sports center was officially opened with a big celebration
National Councilor Dietmar Keck (Lessor / SK VÖEST Chairman) and Philipp Kaufmann (Lessor / CEO of the Kaufmann Group) welcomed more than 100 guests to the official opening of what is now the LunzerWirt in the SK VÖEST sports center (Lunzerstraße 74). “We are very pleased that we have found a new tenant for the LunzerWirt in the SK VÖEST sports center in Philipp Kaufmann and that we can now start again together,” says Keck, looking forward to the future cooperation.
Great location potential
The Kaufmann Group sees great potential at the location. “It’s a superbly renovated restaurant with a feel-good atmosphere, where we offer tasty home-style cooking,” says Kaufmann. In addition, the location is perfect for events or company celebrations due to the spacious seminar rooms. “In the end, it was this overall package that convinced us, the Kaufmann Group, to lease the current LunzerWirt. At this point, I would like to thank our lessor, Mr. Nationalrat and SK VÖEST chairman, Dietmar Keck, for the uncomplicated takeover process,” says Kaufmann.
Gastro-Offensive
The Kaufmann Group, which already operates the Beenie.all day on Urfahraner Hauptstraße and the Cubus in the Ars Electronica Center, among other things, is expanding its gastro portfolio again with the “LunzerWirt”. “With a clear business plan, a reliable and hard-working team and the necessary entrepreneurial courage, it is possible to get something new off the ground even in this time. As a real estate project developer, I know how big the challenge is to get a property or restaurant up and running again. It was an intensive discovery phase and an absolute restart after three years of standstill. We have found a new name, a new team and also completely renewed the kitchen and the beer dispenser,” says Kaufmann. The first few weeks of trial operation have been extremely positive, as Kaufmann emphasizes: “We noticed right away in the initial phase that people accept our concept well, the food tastes good and the service works. This is exactly what we want to build on and open a new, successful chapter for the SK VÖEST sports center with the LunzerWirt.” The LunzerWirt is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
