Samosir Regency, North Sumatra, now has a new tourist attraction, namely Lumban Manik Beach located in Lumban Suho Suhi Toruan Village. Samosir Regent Vandiko T Gultom said that the new tourist attraction will later be managed by BUMDes Hita do Hita Lumban Suhi Suhi Toruan Village.
The launch of the tourist attraction was combined with the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence at the village level with the theme Increasing Solidarity and Mutual Cooperation for an Independent and Prosperous Lumban Suhi Suhi.
“Samosir Regency Government is committed to continuously improving tourist locations in Samosir Regency, so that tourists will want to visit. The community is expected to be able to serve tourists well. The government is tasked with bringing in tourists and the community must be ready to welcome them,” said Vandiko.
He said, through social media, all the bad things are very easy to spread and go viral throughout Indonesia and even the whole world. For that, he hopes that the village government, and BUMDes as managers along with the community can all take care of the tourist spot as well as possible.
“I leave a message to the entire community to work together to take good care of this place. Let us serve tourists wholeheartedly, humbly,” he said.
Previously, in 2023, the number of tourists visiting Samosir Regency broke a record with a total of more than 1 million visits. This clearly has an impact on the local economy.

“Imagine, if only 10% of people stayed at the price range of accommodation

The development of the Lumban Manik beach tourist attraction is inseparable from the synergy between the Samosir Regency Government and the Lumban Suhi Suhi Toruan Village Government. The Samosir Regency Government played a role in deploying free heavy equipment for the arrangement of the tourist attraction location.
On that occasion, he appreciated the Head of Lumban Village, Suhi Suhi Toruan, who has creativity based on community empowerment, who always totally devotes himself to serving and improving the community’s economy.
