Riyadh: Lulu’s hypermarkets are the best shopping destination in the GCC, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Ng. Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al Khoraifa. The minister had come to see the specially arranged Saudi products at Lulu Hypermarket in Atyef, Riyadh. The minister also offered free land for Lulu’s storage facility.
The minister was warmly welcomed by the management and Saudi employees when he arrived at Lulu in Atayaf Mall. Lulu Group and the Group’s Chairman and Managing Director M.A. Yusufali also highlighted the support given to Saudi products and praised the minister. The minister promised free land for Lulu’s warehouse and full support for logistics. The minister spent a long time here visiting sections where Saudi products are displayed at Lulu. Later, the official Twitter handle also posted a tweet praising Lulu. Lulu hypermarkets have lined up 1,200 Saudi products in food and non-food categories such as dates, Saudi coffee, Red Sea seafood, goat and beef meat, fruits and vegetables.
Recently Lulu Group and Saudi Egg Producers Association signed a memorandum of understanding to directly deliver eggs by avoiding black market and hoarding in the market. Lulu’s initiative to promote Saudi products is part of the ‘Saudi Made Program’, a national initiative launched by the Saudi Export Development Authority and the National Industrial Development to contribute to achieving the goals of Vision 2030. Lulu Saudi Director Sheheem Mohammed said that Saudi products are displayed with pride. Sheheem Mohammed added that Lulu is partnering with the Vision 2030 project through these activities.
