President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was hit in the face with a club during the final match of the Republican competition. They were held among amateurs for the prizes of the presidential sports club.
As transmits Telegram– Channel “Pool of the First”, Lukashenka had the puck in the face-off circle. He wanted to take it away from player number 7. It was a hockey player from the Minsk region team. As a result, Lukashenka took the stick to the side while trying to keep the puck, but his opponent did not hit the stick, but hit the face.
A video of the incident has surfaced online. It shows how Lukashenka bent over after the injury. Then he was taken to the bench, where he sat for some time, putting a handkerchief to the cut place. Number 7 is also reported to be fine. There were no sanctions for the “attack” on the Belarusian leader.
The game was played on April 9th. In the second match of the final series of the XV Republican competition, Lukashenka’s team defeated the hockey players of the Minsk region with a score of 5:1 (1:1, 1:0, 3:0). The match was attended by the general manager of Minsk “Dinamo” Oleg Antonenko and the general manager of the national teams of Belarus Mikhail Grabovsky.
