Guatemala vs El Salvador: Luis Fernando Tena presents roster with new faces
On July 18, the Guatemalan coach announced the list of 20 players who will face El Salvador in the United States.

The Guatemala coach, Mexican Luis Fernando Tena, shared on the morning of July 18 the official roster of the senior team that will face their counterpart from El Salvador in a friendly match.
Tena, who will complete 3 years in charge of the Guatemalan National Team in December, opted for a list of 20 footballers Most of them belong to local football, since the preparation match once morest El Salvador is outside of a FIFA date, which makes it difficult for legionary players to appear.
Among the main changes in the Mexican squad is the call-up of José Daniel Franco, who plays for Alebrijes de Oaxaca in the Mexican Expansion League, and the addition of Mathius Gaitan, who until recently was on loan at Xinabajul Heuhue and will now play for Municipal.
Jorge Aparicio is another new addition, as he returns to the national team following four months.
Along with Franco, the only other player on the list who plays outside the country is Néstor Cabrera, who currently plays for Rutgers University.
The main basis for the call-up is Xelajú MC, which has up to 5 players from its ranks on the list. Deportivo Mixco has 4 names, Municipal has 3 and the list is completed by players from Cobán Imperial, Guastatoya, Malacateco and Marquense.

- Media: Figo Montano, Jose Ochoa, Yonatan Pozuelos, Nestor Cabrera, Carlos Santos, Jorge Aparicio.
- Forwards: Jose Franco, Jonathan Moran, William Fajardo, Elmer Cardoza.
