Luhansk: Ukrainian security forces target Donetsk with 24 mortar shells

The (unilaterally declared) Luhansk Republic said that the Ukrainian security forces targeted Donetsk, Novotoshkovsky and Trekezbinka, with 24 120-mm mortar shells, according to “Sputnik”.

The Representative Office of the Republic announced two attacks by the Ukrainian security forces with 120 mm mortars prohibited under the Minsk agreements.

Earlier, the President of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, said that “the situation in Donbass, unfortunately, is heading towards war.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin directed the Acting Ministry of Emergencies, Alexander Choprian, to quickly go to the Rostov region in Russia to create conditions for housing the refugees who were evacuated from the Donbass region, and to disburse 10,000 Russian rubles (regarding $130) for each refugee coming from Donbass to Russian Rostov.

The emergency management of the Russian Rostov region has entered a state of high alert due to the arrival of refugees from the Luhansk Republic.

The Donetsk Republic announced renewed artillery bombardment on the Zaitsevo region, located on the outskirts of Gorlovka, and on the city of Dokuchevsk.
