A Lufthansa Boeing 747 made an unplanned emergency landing in Boston on Monday evening: As several American media reports, the machine was on its way from Newark to Frankfurt when smoke was suddenly reported in the cockpit.
According to Flight Aware, the plane was west of Nova Scotia when it turned back to make an unscheduled landing at Logan International Airport. A Massachusetts police spokesman told Travel and Tour that the crew were using oxygen masks when the plane was diverted to Boston. According to the spokesman, 326 passengers were on board the machine – there were no injuries.
